Rhonda Green graduated from High School in Dallas, Texas in 1976, at the age of 16. She attended the Engineering Concepts Institute program at Prairie View A&M University, a program designed for newly graduated candidates interested in engineering. After just two weeks of attendance, she was awarded a 4-year scholarship. Rhonda graduated with a dual Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering and Mathematics in 1980. In 1982, she received a National Science Foundation Fellowship and pursued a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on structures at the University of Texas in Arlington.

Having been married and divorced twice, Rhonda is a proud mother to her daughter Kristeana and grandmother to her grandson Julian, whom she affectionately calls "Jellybean," both residing in Dallas, Texas.

Rhonda has enjoyed a remarkable 45-year career as a Structural Engineer in Aerospace, specializing as a Material Review Board Structural Liaison Engineer, where she designs repairs for damaged aircraft structures.

In 2013, Rhonda delivered a presentation in her Toastmasters club titled “I’ll Never Be A Fashion Model Size,” which led to her speaking at the Cancer Center of America facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma. For four years, she provided valuable communication skills education at the Oklahoma Society of Professional Engineers Conferences and was hired by the State of Oklahoma to create and facilitate a custom communication program for the Oklahoma Main Street Directors Program.

Rhonda speaks on several topics, including depression awareness, emphasizing what you need to know to save lives, the courage to succeed under fire, transitioning from failure to success, how to write, edit, and self-publish a book at low to no cost, conflict resolution, making the sale, and more. She creates custom presentations tailored for any audience.

Additionally, Rhonda has published the "Sunrises and Sunsets" 3-book series: Surviving the Sunrises & Sunsets, Spectacular Sunrises & Sunsets, and Sensational Sunrise and Sunsets. On January 19th, 2026, she plans to release a new book titled "Behind the Smile - Depression is Real," with further information available on the Books Page.
